There is a huge voter block nobody is paying attention to.
Everything is not black or white nor Left or Right. I think there is a huge block of Americans who are mostly on the Right with touches of the Left in their core belief system, or let’s say certain things don’t bother them.
Likewise there are some people who are mostly Liberal on social issues but lean conservative on financial issues.
The typical key issues on the Conservative side of the house generally include:
- Smaller government
- Low taxes
- Little to no government waste.
- No blanket foreign aid
- General government fiscal responsibility
The typical key issues on the Liberal side of the house generally include:
- Legalized drugs (or at least non criminalization of lower drugs like pot)
- Gay marriage
- Free healthcare
- Free schooling at some level from elementary up through university
Certainly not every voter falls fully into these exact buckets. Some voters are cool with a middle ground on many of these issues. I know Conservative leaning people who don’t give a hoot about gay marriage. I know Left leaning people who would also like to see more…
