Liberalism is destructive to the very people who vote for it.
Liberal governments harm the very people they claim to stand up for.
This is a big issue with me. Democrats all but own this issue. They claim that they are the party that supports the “little guy”, and if only you’ll elect them into office they’ll “look out for you”.
This could not be further from reality. Democrats say that we should tax the rich and support the “working man” (as if wealthy people didn’t or don’t work for the money they earn). Outside of maybe John Kerry or the Kennedy’s wealthy people generally got that way because they worked hard for it.
However, if politicians were really looking out for the “working man” they would make it easier, not harder, for employers to hire people. They would stop with the schemes to control and regulate almost everything. And they would lower taxes across the board and particularly for employers. Ultimately politicians (and mostly and especially Democrats) harm the very people they purport to support. Here’s why and how.
Let’s say you have a woman that decides to open a hair salon. She has saved up some money, she has worked in the industry for a few years, and now she’s ready to take a risk and own her own business. She might even go to the banks and get a secured loan to get started.
