As someone who has lived in Europe twice and has traveled to over 50 countries, I think what has happened to America is with the massive amount of illegal immigration into the nation, little by little (and faster and faster) we are inching toward becoming more of a 3rd world country. I have seen some of the best places in the world full of wealth and luxuries people in the USA can't even fathom. I have also seen and walked in the some of worst neighborhoods, towns and villages in places India, China, Colombia, Mexico and more. The different between the haves and the have nots in 3rd world countries is dramatic - and that is starting to happen here in the USA because of some of our ridiculous policies at the Federal level. Couple that with non stop government spending on useless and often insane programs, honestly it feels like it is being done on purpose.
