Americans need to learn how to eat — Stat.
--
Walk into any grocery store, doctor’s office, or fast food restaurant in the USA and you won’t just see obese people, you will see “deformed” people.
They’re not just “grandma fat”, they are deformed the way a balloon looks if you pinch one end and pop the air into the other end.
Why is this?
What happened in the past 50 years in the USA that caused so many people to become huge?
I’m convinced it’s the food.
Prior to the 1980’s there really weren’t many obese people. But then came TV dinners, fast food, and an avalanche of crap processed food sold as convenience.
Recently I walked through a Costco. You can pick up a lot of good things at Costco, but something hit me on this recent trip because of the way the store displayed the products at the very entrace of the store that laid bare before anyone paying attention to just how many nutritional supplements are marketed to Americans.
Question: Why would Americans need so many nutritional supplements?
Answer: It’s because their bodies are nutritionally deficient.
Question: Why are their bodies nutritionally deficient?
Answer: Because Americans generally eat crap, processed food in huge quantitites.
So the businsess formula is clear.
- Step 1: Sell Americans crappy processed food with little to no nutritional value.
- Step 2: Then sell them a ton of bottled and powedered supplements to make up for the lack of nutritional value in the food.
Rake in the the cash.
- There’s even a Step 3: Now sell them pharmceuticals via their doctor, get the insurance companies involed with FDA approval and really rake in the cash.
Every medical doctor in the USA should immediately get reschooled on nutrition and stop just writing prescriotions for pills to to “fix” things.
The solution to all of this is for Americans to do two things:
- Eat more single ingredient foods like fruit. A banana is a single ingredient food, just like a pineapple, a peach etc.
