Americans are ignorant of how China plays them for the long game.
In my lifetime I have seen my fellow Americans become dumbed-down over the years.
To be fair, it may not be just in the USA. When I speak with some friends in other countries like Italy, Sweden, and England, they also say the same thing has happened to their population.
As a generality, maybe the entire West has become dumbed down?
England has become a tabloid culture obsessed with cheap stories on magazine covers, binge drinking, and various pop culture scandals. My Italian friends complain of fellow citizens who think the Italian green party is going to save them (when it’s the opposite), and the Swedes talk of parents doing anything their children ask of them as if they’re all little princes and princesses.
But in the USA where I live it’s particularly odd. We have millions of people you would otherwise call normal, even smart. They are educated, some have traveled the world, they teach at high schools and colleges.
But they’re clueless of what’s being done to them.
In the USA we have a population of smart stupid people. The problem is they themselves don’t know it. They’re totally oblivious to their own ignorance of what is happening right in front of them sometimes. And if you point it out they think…
